The vibratory specification of the CAM-VS series provides increased fatigue strength against the effects of vibration and shock loads conditions. Manufactured from high cleanliness steel VS bearings improve operating life. They are equipped with brass cages to combat the effects of vibration, operating fatigue, wear and corrosion.
The one- piece VS-series brass cage ensures accurate guidance of the rollers while minimizing resonance from the induced vibrations. In addition, because the cage is roller-centred it is insensitive to thermal effects; that is, there is no contact with the bearing inner ring. This non-contact design also ensures a reduced lubrication requirement.
Long-life VS series of spherical roller bearings have been designed specifically for vibrating machinery such as screens, where heavy shock loads are experienced. These bearings have an increased load rating, improved roller guidance and an improved surface roughness on the rollers and inner and outer ring. This greatly helps reduce bearing damage caused by slippage, flaking and surface fatigue.
