NSK’s products reduce energy consumption in all manner of mechanical devices, reducing the world’s energy burden and thus contributing to sustainable development
As well as producing products to minimize energy consumption, since 1999, NSK plants are focused on reducing CO2 emissions from their own manufacturing facilities. Having consistently exceeded a year on year target of 1% CO2 reduction per production unit, NSK is now also aiming to reduce absolute CO2 emission levels, independent of production levels.
Our first target is to reduce absolute emissions in fiscal year 2012 below those of 2006. This will be achieved through investment in advanced environmentally friendly facilities and through determined efforts to eliminate waste.

As both an importer and downstream user of chemicals, NSK is committed to meeting all its legal obligations required under REACH.
Copy of NSK's Declaration of Intent relating to REACH can be downloaded from the "Toolbox" on the right.
All NSK products comply with relevant legal requirements such as the ELV and RoHS Directives. In addition, NSK has established its own list of prohibited and restricted substances published in NSK's Green Procurement Standard. All key component suppliers are required to sign up to this standard.
Within the NSK Group Environmental Policy, it is required that all manufacturing sites shall obtain ISO14001 certification within 5 years of commencing operation. This policy has been consistently met and at present NSK has 47 manufacturing plants which have achieved ISO14001 certifications.
