NSK Recognizes American Service Men and Women

NSK Corporation paid tribute to American servicemen and women by giving them and their loved ones a chance to enjoy NASCAR racing at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS). As the proud sponsor of the Speedway's Salute to Military Families program, NSK provided150 tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LifeLock 400 held on Father's Day, June 15th.

NSK marked its participation in the event with grandstand signage displayed throughout the weekend, and involvement in the Speedway's hospitality program.

"NSK is pleased to be the corporate sponsor of the MIS Salute to Military Families program for a second year," said Jerry Hope, Vice President of Human Resources for NSK. "We are honored to be able to share a NASCAR experience with members of the United States Military in appreciation of their selflesscontribution to our country."

The U.S. Military has a longstanding relationship with NASCAR. The Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard have all been involved in the sport, and NASCAR is a strong supporter of the military, holding events to recognize the contribution of military personnel and raise money for their families. The tickets provided by NSK for the LifeLock 400 were given to families whose lives currently are or have been affected by military duty.

A NASCAR Sprint Cup race averages attendance of more than 120,000 spectators -- in fact, 17 of the 20 most attended U.S. sporting events are NASCAR races.

"The NSK sponsorship of the Salute to Military Families program gives family and friends of the military the chance to have some fun at our racetrack," said Roger Curtis, President of MIS. "The military already has a huge presence in the sport, but NSK Corporation is making that presence even larger at our speedway. We appreciate the support of the program and what it means to all of our military heroes, including veterans and current military personnel here at home or fighting overseas."
