Oven Cooling Fan

History

The customer was experiencing problems with mounted bearings (Self-Lube®) on a fan application.  Bearings were running hot due to their location above an oven.  Regular changes were needed once a month.

Corrective Measures

The application was investigated by NSK engineering and the ambient temperature was discovered to be within the tolerences of the HLT (approximately 120ºC).  HLT Self-Lube® bearings were fitted together with NSK recommendations for relubrication intervals with the correct specification grease.  Bearing performance significantly improved and unplanned failures were eliminated.
